We, along with other Visit Scotland members, received an email this month requesting that we now remove any reference to the QA (Quality Assurance) awards. It’s a shame that they are no longer running the accreditation scheme and have closed their tourist information offices. Apparently visitors now prefer to organise everything on line and don’t need the help of the information centres in many Scottish towns, we’re not so sure this is true.
We’ve been proud to be a 3* establishment for 20 years and in more recent years holders of the Gold award too.
So the plaque has been taken down from our hall (picture below) and the logo from the bottom of this website. We are allowed to keep the Taste our Best award logo.
Rest assured that we will keep up the standards both in Fern Villa and in our breakfasts.
