The Glenelg Ferry really travels "over the sea to Skye", The Glenachulish was once the ferry that crossed the narrows between Loch Leven and Loch Linnhe before the Ballachulish bridge was built.
Look out for white tailed sea eagles.

There is a stunning scenic drive over the Mam Ratagan Pass. In the Glenelg area there are a couple of iron age brochs, ruins of Bernera Barracks and Sandaig where Gavin Maxwell lived and the location in his book Ring of Bright Water.
