Until 1999 the road went around Loch Creran so now with the bridge built there is very little traffic on the loop. Cycle the road in a clockwise to avoid the most upward gradients. At the head of the loch turn right over the small bridge. Loch Creran is a conservation area so you might be lucky and spot some otters. There are information panels on the marine life. At the end of the ride you pass under the Creagan bridge and loop round back onto the A828. Cross the road to join the path south.
