Turf House, National Trust for Scotland, Glencoe

National Trust for Scotland – Glencoe

National Trust for Scotland Glencoe is an amazing place - internationally famous for its landscape, its natural and cultural heritage. It’s a place of towering, spectacular, brooding hills, diverse and rare wildlife and of a famous yet tragic event in Scotland’s history.

If you are feeling fit you can climb the 8 Munros that NTS Glencoe look after.

A recent addition is the Turf House, a unique reconstruction of a traditional home.  Also known as a creel house, animals took shelter in one half and the other 'fancier' side was where the family would live, eat and sleep.
