We went out for an early birthday meal to Moss Restaurant which has recently opened in Glencoe (formerly Glencoe Cafe and before that the Carnoch Restaurant).
It was very busy so making a reservation is essential. If you intend on having 3 courses make sure you go with an empty belly as the portions are very generous!
Menus change daily depending on what seasonal produce is sourced.
David started off with fish pate with oatcakes, followed by Pan Roast Pork Loin, Romesco Sauce, Grilled Syboes and Grilled Almonds. We’d never heard of syboes so had to give it a Google, it is a Scottish word for spring onions/scallions. Pudding was Lemon Posset with Chantilly Cream and a Shortcake Biscuit.
I started off with squid in breadcrumbs and a dip, followed by Coley Fillet, Creamed Wild Mushrooms, Barley Risotto and Pickled Fennel and again the Lemon Posset for pudding.
Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked, we will definitely be returning
